Training programme
The trainings are delivered through a series of interconnected modules, each focusing on different aspects of EU regional policy and cohesion funds management. The programme consists of five thematic blocks, as outlined in the capacity building programme:
Block 0: Introduction (2 x 1 day)
- Topics: Sustainable development of Europe, EU regional policy, and European funds.
- Objective: To provide a foundational understanding of the EU’s approach to regional policy and sustainable development.
Block 1: Programming and planning of regional development (1 day)
- Topics: Factors of regional and local development, strategic directions and development goals, management of regional development programmes.
- Objective: To equip participants with skills to plan and manage regional development projects aligned with EU standards.
Block 2: Funding of the regional policy (2 days)
- Topics: National and regional rules for implementing the Cohesion Policy, public procurement, administrative capacity building.
- Objective: To enhance participants’ understanding of the financial mechanisms and procurement processes involved in EU-funded projects.
Block 3: Monitoring and evaluation in the EU regional policy framework (2 days)
- Topics: Setting programme objectives, monitoring implementation, programme-level evaluation.
- Objective: To build competencies in monitoring and evaluating regional development projects within the EU framework.
Block 4: Project management (1 day)
- Topics: Transforming ideas into projects, horizontal policies influencing projects, project lifecycle.
- Objective: To develop project management skills tailored to the requirements of EU-funded initiatives.
